Aviss and Effies Hotchkiss
(AVISS 1863 - 1958 / EFFIES 1889 - *)
Aviss and Effies Hotchkiss were a mother and daughter duo who defied societal expectations by riding motorcycles in the early 20th century. In 1915, they embarked on a historic journey across the United States, covering over 14,000 kilometers from Brooklyn to the San Francisco World's Fair. Their journey was full of challenges, but they proved that women could be just as tough and resilient as any man. Their accomplishments were groundbreaking and helped pave the way for future generations of women riders. Aviss and Effies Hotchkiss are an inspiration to anyone who dares to break the rules and challenge the norm, reminding us that anything is possible with hard work and determination.

Start by taping a paper sheets to a flat surface, then outline the perimeter of each foot. Make sure the pen is 90° from the sheet of paper at all times.
02
Once both feet have been outlined, draw four lines on the widest part of each side.
03
Draw a straight line from the highest part of the thumb to the heel, this will be M1. Then, draw a straight line across the widest parts of the foot, this will be M2.
04
Now measure with a ruler to get the height (M1) and width (M2).
